La forma dell’acqua (The shape of water – la recensione) di Guillermo del Toro trionfa ai Producers Guild of America Awards 2018 (PGA Awards), i premi assegnata dall’associazione dei produttori americani.
Un grande risultato per il fantasy di del Toro, vincitore del Leone d’Oro alla 74. Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, che ha conquistato il riconoscimento come miglior film dopo aver ottenuto, la settimana scorsa, il medesimo premio ai Critics’ Choice Awards.
Il riconoscimento come miglior film d’animazione è stato assegnato al capolavoro Disney-Pixar Coco mentre Jane ha ricevuto il premio come miglior documentario.
Non ci resta che attendere le nomination agli Oscar 2018 (23 gennaio) e capire se il 4 marzo l’Academy deciderà di premiare The shape of water nella notte più attesa dell’anno. Che sia la volta buona per del Toro?
