È la black comedy Tre Manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri a trionfare alla 24ª edizione degli Screen Actors Guild Awards, i riconoscimenti assegnati ogni anno dal sindacato degli attori.
La cerimonia, condotta da Kristen Bell, ha eletto il film di Martin McDonagh, premiato alla 74. Mostra del Cinema di Venezia per la miglior sceneggiatura e vincitore di 4 Golden Globes (miglior film drammatico, miglior sceneggiatura, miglior attrice drammatica e miglior attore non protagonista).
Tre Manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri è stato premiato per il miglior cast d’insieme, la migliore attrice protagonista (Frances McDormand) e il miglior attore non protagonista (Sam Rockwell).
Gary Oldman si è aggiudicato il SAG Awards come miglior attore protagonista per la sua performance ne L’ora più buia, mentre Allison Janney è stata votata “migliore attrice non protagonista” per l’interpretazione nel biopic I, Tonya.
Tra gli altri riconoscimenti, Wonder Woman ha conquistato il premio per la migliore performance d’azione di un cast di stuntman e Morgan Freeman il premio alla carriera.
