La stagione dei grandi premi del cinema è entrata nel vivo. Sono stati annunciati questa notte (ora italiana), nella magnifica cornice di Los Angeles, i vincitori Golden Globes 2017, celebre manifestazione che precede il conferimento degli Oscar (26 febbraio).
Fondato nel 1914 dalla Foreign Office Press Association, il Globo d’Oro è uno dei premi più prestigiosi che vengono assegnati ogni anno ai film e alle serie tv che si sono contraddistinte nell’ultimo anno.
A trionfare alla 74esima edizione, presentata da Jimmy Fallon (che ha deliziato il pubblico con una magnifica ouverture) è stato il lungometraggio di Damien ChazelleLa La Land, che ha ricevuto ben 7 riconoscimenti, tra cui quelli come miglior musical/commedia, miglior regista e migliori interpretazioni (Ryan Gosling e Emma Stone).

Moonlight è stato insignito del Globo d’oro come “miglior film drammatico“. Nella stessa sezione, sono stati premiati Isabelle Huppert eCasey Affleck, rispettivamente per le performance in Elle di Paul Verhoeven (vincitore come miglior film in lingua straniera) e Manchester by the Sea di Kenneth Lonergan. Contro ogni pronostico, la Foreign Office Press Association ha riconosciuto il Golden Globe aAaron Taylor-Johnson come migliore attore non protagonista in Animali Notturni, premio assegnato nella medesima categoria femminile a Viola Davis per Fences (Barriere). Il cartoon DisneyZootropolis sbaraglia la concorrenza e si aggiudica il riconoscimento come il miglior d’animazione, mentre il premio alla carriera Cecil B. DeMille è stato consegnato alla straordinaria Meryl Streep.
