Svelata la selezione ufficiale dell’edizione 2020 del Toronto Film Festival
che si terrà online dal 10 al 19 settembre
L’organizzazione del Toronto International Film Festival ha finalmente reso nota la selezione ufficiale della 45ma edizione che si terrà per lo più online tra il 10 e il 19 settembre.
Tra gli eventi da segnalare, troviamo la proiezione in apertura di American Utopia, il film concerto del poliedrico cantante David Byrne diretto da Spike Lee, e quella in chiusura di A Suitable Boy, l’attesa serie tv della regista indiana Mira Nair.
L’anteprima di Nomadland, il dramma scritto e diretto dalla cinese Chloé Zhao con protagonisti Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May e Charlene Swankie, avverrà poi in contemporanea con quella prevista alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, il prossimo 11 settembre.
Ad eccezione di alcuni eventi mirati che si terranno in loco rispettando le dovute norme di sicurezza, l’edizione annuale del festival si svolgerà quasi interamente tramite piattaforma streaming.
